Information we collect

For enquiries and callback requests, we collect your name, email address, enquiry type and any telephone number, company name or message you provide.

For CPC network applications, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, CPC qualification, availability and any experience, preferred operating area, message or CV you provide. Required fields are identified on the form. Messages and CVs are optional, but we need the required details to process your application.

Member accounts and forum participation involve account information and contributions that you choose to submit. Forum posts may be visible to other visitors. Please do not post confidential information or personal details that you do not want to make public.

The website uses session information for forms, sign-in and security. Hosting systems may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and page requests for security, monitoring and fault diagnosis.

How we use your information

We use enquiry and callback information to respond to you and discuss the support or service you have requested.

Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we may process your information because it is necessary to take those steps before entering into a contract. For other business enquiries, our legitimate interest is communicating with prospective clients and their representatives.

The CPC network form asks for your consent to retain your information and contact you about suitable opportunities. You can withdraw that consent by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

We use member information to operate accounts and the forum. Our legitimate interests include maintaining a professional community, moderating contributions, preventing misuse and protecting the security of the service.

Where we must process information to comply with a legal obligation, we process it for that purpose.

CPC network records and sharing with operators

We retain CPC-holder records while we work with that CPC holder. If we cease working together, we delete their details from our database after 12 calendar months without contact, unless we need to retain particular information for a legal, contractual or dispute-related reason.

We do not use CPC-holder details for unrelated marketing.

We do not share a CPC holder’s CV or personal details with a potential client until we have spoken with the CPC holder and obtained their express permission to make the introduction.

Enquiries and callback requests

We retain general enquiries and callback requests for no more than six months, unless the enquiry develops into a client or commercial relationship or we need to retain information for a legal, contractual or dispute-related reason.

Enquiry and callback details are not used for external marketing without an appropriate legal basis and, where required, consent.

Forum and member records

Account and forum records are kept for as long as they remain necessary to provide the account or discussion service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our terms or meet legal obligations.

You can contact us about closing an account or removing personal information. Some forum contributions may need to remain visible in an anonymised form where removal would affect the context or integrity of an ongoing discussion.

Forum contributions are public unless the website clearly identifies them as private. Do not submit confidential information, sensitive personal information or information about another person without an appropriate reason and permission.

Who we share information with

Hosting, database, email and security providers may process information needed to operate the website, store records, protect the service and respond to you. These providers should only process information in accordance with their contractual arrangements and applicable data protection law.

Information may also be provided to professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement agencies or other authorities where necessary and lawful.

We do not sell your personal information.
